These companies represent a variety of industries that support the economy. The city is also home to numerous administrative offices and centers for the region, including Care Quality Commission, Nottingham Building Society, Customs, and HM Revenue, among others. Also, Nottingham is home to some of the best universities in the world like Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham. Therefore, the city creates several employment opportunities.
